Types of Darshan
Types and meaning of Jhanki or DARSHAN Each Jhanki/ DARSHAN has a particular meaning and purpose.
This is the first Jhanki of the day and in winter it takes place before the sunrise while in the summer, it is later. In summer Lord wears a Dhoti while in the winter Lord wears a Coat. An Arati is performed during this darshan.
In the next darshan Dwarkadhishji well dress with a mala made of petals flowers. Lord is then shown in the mirror. The flute is placed in Lord hand. Lord is supposed to play with the children during this time. Many Dry fruits offered to Dwarkadhishji and the dresses differ according to seasons and festivals.
This is the sometimes Jhanki with Lord's cows. During this darshan Dhoop Deep is performed. Kheer and Rabdi offered to Dwarkadhishji.
The main darshan of the day is Rajbhog. Dwarkadhishji is well dressed and served with most varieties of delicious and nutritious food. An Aarti is performed. After this darshan Lord remain for after noon rest time.
At about 4 p.m. Dwarkadhishji awaked after his noon sleep. Some times the darshan is open in few seasons with simplicity manner. Majority times this darshan with an arti performed behind the curtains.
During this darshan, Dwarkadhishji is offered fruits and light meal. Dwarkadhishji holds conferences with other Gods & Goddess and one should ask to Dwarkadhishji with request and devotion to fulfill the desires. It is in this Darshan one will request lord to fulfill his wishes.
This Jhanki is at evening time when the Lord used to bring his cows and loved ones back home for rest. An evening Arti is performed.
This is the last Jhanki which emphasis for Dwarkadhishji to retire for the night. An arti is performed. This darshan is usually held for short time. Thakurji is in nightdress with dhoti and some times with kurta and is offered paan.
Some times this kind darshan is planned and organized with lots of help from different devotees. In this darshan Dwarkadhishji remain in swing with different things like dry fruits Hindola, vegetable Hindola, flowers Hindola, ornaments Hindola, garden Hindola with different vines, and fruits Hindola.
